Heather Gilbert Charlotte Computer Science

HEATHER GILBERT

Director of Operations

Heather has been an integral member of our team since December 2018, serving as the Director of Operations. She has an Administrative Assistant certificate from CPCC.

She is responsible for managing the company’s invoicing and overseeing daily operations, ensuring that every aspect of the business runs smoothly and efficiently. Her attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and dedication to streamlining processes have made her an indispensable part of our organization. Heather’s proactive approach and ability to navigate complex challenges with ease are key to maintaining the high standards we set for ourselves.

In her free time she loves exploring the outdoors and spending time with her husband, Justin, their 3 daughters Tenley , Laney and Delilah and their family Cat, Gibbs and Dogs Rosie & Kallik.

MICHELLE MCELHINEY

Lead Instructional Coach

Michelle was born and raised outside of Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from Slippery Rock University.  She has lived in NC for the last 15 years, first Fayetteville and now Charlotte.

Michelle’s 15 year career as a teacher has been vast.  She has taught in Cumberland, Bladen and Charlotte Mecklenburg counties, spanning grades 2 – 8, and even including a Science Lab.  Her passion was incorporating the arts and outdoor learning into daily math and science lessons in order to motivate students to do their best work.  

Michelle’s family consists of her husband Sean, son Connor, and two dogs Rocket and Freya. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, hiking and cooking.

JODI ACKERMANN

Director Of Learning Development

Jodi is a seasoned learning and development professional with a diverse background and a passion for empowering individuals to achieve their full potential. With 20 years of experience in the field of education, Jodi’s expertise extends beyond traditional teaching, encompassing professional development, coaching, and training. 

Jodi’s dedication to excellence and innovation has been recognized throughout her career. She received the Exceeding Expectations Award as Teacher of the Year and was honored as Coach of the Year by CT3 Education. She was also featured in commercials and documentaries by Education Elements and Voyager Sopris for her achievements in curriculum implementation and blended learning administration. Over the past three years, Jodi’s commitment to excellence was demonstrated when her school continuously exceeded growth, was removed from the low performing school list in North Carolina, and is now in the top 15th percentile for growth in middle schools. 

Outside of work, Jodi enjoys pursuing her hobbies, including photography, cooking, and sports. She values spending quality time on Lake Norman with her husband, Steve, and their four children (Keaton, Saige, Tanner, and Ryleigh), as well as their two Golden Retrievers, Kinsley and Kaos.
